Bachata retreat is a one of a kind experience. It combines Bachata dancing, music, Dominican culture, and wellness all into one, in a setting that’s very fitting on the edge of Dominican Republic. With my now second year being here, its even created a community for the people that live on the island and for people to frequent this festival every year. It evolves each year thank to the organizers openness to feedback, and I’m excited to see what’s in store for next year!
Bachata Retreat was a new discovery that was completely different from any bachata event I had experienced before. All the events, life in the jungle, dancing Bachata Dominicana with local people, the wonderful participants and artists I met there were definitely an exceptional experience, and I was extremely happy every single day I spent there. Most people do. From the first day the whole group connects naturally — that's actually one of the things people mention most after the retreat. You won't feel like an outsider for a single moment.
You don't need to be advanced. The retreat welcomes dancers of all levels, from beginners to experienced social dancers. The workshops are designed so everyone gets something real out of them — whether you're just finding your style or looking to deepen it.
Reservations are non-refundable, but you can transfer your spot to another person. If you want extra peace of mind before booking, our Flex Pass ($100) lets you transfer your full payment to the next edition if something comes up. Full details available after purchase.
